carpet beetle insect::One i started to get only last summer and they are back this summer.
They are grey, flat, rounded oval shaped, about the size of a thumb print, and have various short spikes on their back.
The second type is smaller, more oval shaped, and black with one or two brown spots on their back.
Their legs distinctly stick out when they walk.
They come from underneath my kitchen sink.
They are very, very tiny black beetles.
They seem to stick to underneath my window and behind a box in my room.
I vaccum 15 or 20 up a day and within 2 days, they are back.
This has been a persistent problem and i have got rid of all food in my room.
Do you have any suggestions for eliminating any of these bugs?
Answer ok, one creature at a time.
The big, spiked ones are probably stink bugs in the genus brochymena.
I have no real idea what the second insect is.
The last insect is probably also a beetle of some sort, maybe a black carpet beetle in the genus attagenus.
Your last beetle could also be a deathwatch beetle in the family anobiidae.
